Armitage brings diverse architecture, engineering & construction experience working with multiple New York State agencies, delivering projects that require careful coordination, regulatory compliance, and a deep understanding of public sector standards. Our portfolio includes projects completed in partnership with NYS Homes and Community Renewal, DASNY, NYS Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation as well as extensive work with the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). From adaptive reuse and mixed use developments to specialized residential facilities, our team consistently navigates complex agency requirements while maintaining schedule, quality, and budget control.
Our work with OPWDD includes the design of replicable Individual Residential Alternative (IRA) apartment buildings and new build five and six bedroom IRA homes, along with renovations of existing structures to meet evolving state regulations. These projects require strict adherence to life safety, accessibility, and operational standards, as well as close collaboration with agency representatives throughout design and approval.
As an experienced Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) firm, Armitage is proud to support state agencies and public initiatives across New York. Our integrated architecture, engineering, and construction expertise, combined with our strong regulatory knowledge and responsive project management approach, allows us to deliver high quality facilities that serve communities and advance agency missions statewide.
