 Armitage served as the Prime, A-E Designer of Record (DOR) and the General Construction Contractor  for the design-build renovation of three 55,00 square foot barracks facilities with attached office space at Ft Drum, NY.  The scope of work included full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection upgrades, structural repairs, new interior layout & building envelope improvements. Completed in 2025, the contract value of all three buildings is over $39M.  

  Armitage was the Prime, A-E Designer of Record (DOR) and the General Construction Contractor for the design-build renovation of a vital six-bay helicopter maintenance hangar and Company Operations Facility (COF) located at Ft Drum.

Originally constructed in 1986 and expanded in 2005, the facility is being modernized to enhance mission readiness, safety, and operational efficiency. The project introduces significant upgrades across all major building systems including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection.

Key improvements include a high-efficiency HVAC system with new boilers, chillers, and air handling units; upgraded electrical distribution and LED lighting; new communications and life-safety systems; and complete interior refinishing of the COF spaces.

 Armitage was the Prime General Construction Contractor and A-E Designer of Record (DOR) for the $1.3M design-build replacement of boilers, piping and air conditioning at the 41,200 square foot vehicle maintenance facility in Rotterdam, NY. The project included high-efficiency boilers, mini-split systems, and complete hydronic piping replacement.  Work was performed in an occupied building without disrupting operations.  The upgraded systems significantly improved energy efficiency, heating performance and occupant comfort 

  Armitage was the Prime, A-E Designer of Record (DOR) and the General Construction Contractor for the design-build renovation of a 17,000 square foot administrative offices at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.  The project involved Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering and Telecommunication design.  The renovations were intended to enhance security, increase the number of workstations, update the mechanical and electrical systems and refresh the interior finishes.

  The Niagara Falls Storage Site (NFSS) is a 191-acre Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) site, part of the former Lake Ontario Ordinance Works that was used by the War Department beginning in 1942 for the production of TNT. In 1944 the Manhattan Engineer District began using the site to store radioactive residues that resulted from the processing of uranium ores during the development of the atomic bomb.  In 1982 the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) began cleanup and consolidation of the radioactive wastes and residues in an earthen containment cell constructed on the property known as the Interim Waste Containment Structure (IWCS).  Armitage is responsible for operating and maintaining the site.
